Chang Bo, president of China International Communications Group (CICG); Zhai Jun, former vice minister of Foreign Affairs and former Chinese Ambassador to France; Gao Song, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Peking University; Gim Huay Neo, managing director and member of the managing board and chair of Greater China of World Economic Forum; and Jean-Christophe Deslarzes, chair of the Board of Directors of The Adecco Group delivered keynote speeches. Chang Bo pointed out that a sound and stable China-Europe relationship not only enables each side to succeed, but also benefits the world, and China-Europe relations have become one of the most influential bilateral relationships in the world. He stressed that both sides should continue to deepen economic and trade cooperation, resolve differences and frictions through dialogue and consultation, and inject greater certainty into global economic development. They should strengthen strategic communication, enhance mutual trust and cooperation, deepen dialogue on climate change, green development, and global AI governance, and work together to solve the challenges of our times. They should also improve dialogue mechanisms for people-to-people and cultural exchanges, expand cooperation in culture, sports, tourism, and local affairs, and become cultural partners who truly know and care for each other.

CICG has long been actively promoting China-Europe people-to-people exchange and cooperation, and stands ready to join visionary individuals from all sectors in China and Europe to deepen practical cooperation in media, publishing, and think tanks, contributing wisdom and strength to the sustained development of China-Europe relations, Chang said.

The 2026 China-Europe Talent Forum, themed “Sharing Together, Growing Together, Winning Together – Bridging Continents: Decoding Talent and Innovation,” invited guests from government, international organizations, renowned experts, scholars, and business leaders to engage in in-depth exchanges on innovative talent cooperation between China and Europe.

The forum featured keynote dialogues, roundtable discussions, achievement releases, and cooperation project launches, along with sub-forum talent exchange activities across six themes: youth, education, science and technology, culture, future industries, and ecological civilization.
This forum represents an important practice for CICG and the Beijing Municipal Government to implement their strategic cooperation agreement on jointly building a high-level talent hub in Beijing, and serves as a key opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the European side. Relevant CICG subsidiary units participated in and supported the forum: the Center for Europe and Africa hosted the talent exchange activity in the culture sector; the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, together with the Beijing Overseas Talent Center and the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and Dongcheng District government, co-hosted the talent exchange activity in the youth sector; and units including China.org.cn, the Center for Americas, the Center for Europe and Asia, New World Press, and the China International Cultural Communication Center provided support to the forum in various ways.
