The small group of ‘Taiwan-independence’ separatists are putting cross-Straits relations at stake by canvassing separatist schemes and promoting series of secessionist activities in their attempt to seek ‘Taiwan independence,’ which will lead Taiwan’s people into a disastrous abyss, said Zhu Fenglian, a spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office on June 12.

Zhu condemned the collusion of Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party with external forces, saying that their actions are endangering peace and stability in the region.
“'Taiwan independence' separatist forces and their secessionist activities constitute the biggest threat to peace and stability across the Straits, and also the biggest obstacle to the sound development of cross-Straits ties,” Zhu pointed out.
Running counter to the fundamental interests of the Chinese nation and Taiwan compatriots, Taiwan separatists’ attempts to seek ‘Taiwan independence’ are doomed to fail, Zhu stressed. She then warned the ‘Taiwan independence’ separatists to give up their secessionist schemes.
