Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday called for all-out efforts to strengthen infrastructure construction in the the country's building of a modern infrastructure system.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks at the 11th meeting of the Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs. He is also head of the committee.
