- The Qingdao Summit currently in session is a historic, landmark summit because after the expansion of the SCO, both India and Pakistan have been included. I expect lots of positive outcomes of this Qingdao Summit as the SCO now represents half of the world’s population. So all the decisions made during this summit will open a new chapter of cooperation in this region.
I hope during this summit the participants can propose some solid recommendations for a more open economy instead of protectionism because all resources are shared and connected including knowledge, economy, and technology. So I hope the SCO members can make more decisions on promoting globalization and encouraging a more open economy among countries. 
The Shanghai Spirit is not only the guiding principle of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, but it has also laid down the foundation for the new type of international relationship. In addition, it guides us to develop a community with a shared future for humankind. Now the world has lots of challenges like terrorism, extremism, and separatism. No country can handle all these issues alone. We should work together and usher in a new future.
