China this month launched a Chinese-English magazine on the country's air traffic control sector, aiming to help the public better understand the management of the flow of air traffic.

The bilingual bimonthly magazine, produced by the Air Traffic Control Commission of China, is the country's first such publication available to the public, according to the commission.

It features interviews and interpretations of air traffic control operations, military aviation, aviation manufacturing and economy, civil air services and local economic development.

China is reforming the air control system to improve efficiency in the use of airspace, as its rapidly growing civil aviation service has been plagued by serious flight delays and heavy air traffic jams. A lack of airspace for civil aviation has been cited as one of the major factors leading to these issues.

The People's Liberation Army Air Force regulates China's airspace allocation and air traffic flow.
