Chinese President Hu Expresses Condolences on Kim Jong Il's Death

 

Chinese President Hu Jintao went to the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Beijing Tuesday morning to express his condolences on the passing of top DPRK leader Kim Jong Il.

Hu, also Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, stressed that it is the persistent policy of the Chinese government and the CPC to continuously consolidate and develop the traditionally friendly relations with the DPRK.

China expects to make joint efforts with the comrades of the DPRK to effectively consolidate, construct and develop the traditionally friendly relations with the DPRK, Hu said.
