China to Promote Relations with Vietnam, Thailand

 

China plans to further relations with Vietnam and Thailand during the upcoming visit of Vice President Xi Jinping to the two countries, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.

Xi will pay an official visit to Vietnam from Dec. 20 to 22, and to Thailand from Dec. 22 to 24, spokesman Liu Weimin said Monday at a press briefing.

In Vietnam, Xi is scheduled to meet with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and other senior officials.
