Today, the world is facing various challenges and changes. Growing global population, food crisis and the transformation of the world economic structure are affecting human development. Both our economy and lifestyles are based on the aggressive use of resources, which is driven by the growing demands of mankind. We need to find a new development model that is less dependent on energy and resources consumption and can induce lasting growth. For this goal, both developed and developing countries should ditch their old mind-set so as to collaborate with positive and cooperative attitudes.
