World's Largest Drying Unit Ready for Delivery in Nanjing, China
The world's largest rotary steam tube drying unit came off the production line on Sept. 20 in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.
The drying unit was designed and developed by the Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery and Automation, a subsidiary of China's leading chemical giant China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina), using Chinese-innovated technologies, said Ren Jianxin, general manager of ChemChina.
The drying unit consists of five different dryers: two with a diameter of 4.2 meters, two with a diameter of 4.5 m and one with a diameter of 4.8 m.
It also fills the gap in the domestic market's drying field for key large equipment, he added.
This low-cost, energy-conserving unit is designed to serve the domestic chemical fiber machinery industry, Ren said.
