Advice Books Printed for Children in China Quake Zone

A book that teaches children how to deal with the aftermath of the earthquake in northwest China is expected to be distributed by the Ministry of Education on April 23rd.

About 20,000 copies of the book, printed in both Chinese and Tibetan, arrived in Xining, capital of Qinghai Province on April 22nd, said Chen Xiaoya, Vice Minister of Education.

The books are expected to arrive at the quake zone in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture by Friday noon and will be distributed to primary and secondary school children.

The book offers advice on how to deal with health and safety risks in the quake's aftermath and provided "psychological guidance," said a statement on the Ministry of Education website.

The title of the book is "Yushu -- We Are Here for You: To the Children Who Survived the Quake".

It was jointly compiled by editors of the People's Education Press and the Ethnic Publishing House in Beijing, who worked day and night since Monday, said the statement.
