Qinghai Receives RMB 586 million in donations

 

China's quake-hit Qinghai Province has received RMB 586 million (85.8 million U.S. dollars) in donations since a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the region on April 14th, the provincial bureau of finance said.

The total donations as of 4:00 p.m. on April 18th included 405 million yuan in cash and 181 million yuan worth of goods and materials.

All donations have been transferred to the provincial bureau of finance for unified management and allocation.

Donated goods and materials included 525 tonnes of food, 80 tonnes of drinking water, 33 tonnes of medicines, 68,075 cotton-padded coats and quilts, and 27,424 tents.
