Reporter Wins Plagiarism Case
Wang Guangxiang, a reporter with Nantong Daily in Jiangsu Province, has won a lawsuit against a Hong Kong publisher four years after he filed the case in a Hong Kong court, accusing the publisher of distorting his report and publishing it in a book aimed at tarring the image of Chinese officials.
The court has ordered the publisher recall and destroy all the books in circulation and make a public apology in local newspapers.
This is believed to be the first journalism case that a Chinese mainland reporter has won off the mainland.
