珍妮: 中国 有 哪些 传统 节日?

Zhēnní: Zhōngguó yǒu nǎxiē chuántǒng jiérì?

Jenny: What are the traditional festivals in China?

马克: 春节, 农历 正月 初一。 清明节, 四月初, 人们扫墓, 纪念 逝去的 亲人。

Mǎkè: Chūnjié, nónglì zhēngyuè chūyī. Qīngmíngjié, sìyuèchū, rénmen sǎomù, jìniàn shìqùde qīnrén.

Mark: The Spring Festival falls on the first day of the first lunar month. The Qingming Festival falls in early April. People pay their respects to the deceased at their tombs.

端午节, 农历 五月 初五, 这一天 要 吃 粽子。

Duānwǔjié, nónglì wǔyuè chūwǔ, zhèyìtiān yào chī zòngzi.

The Dragonboat Festival falls on the 5th day of the fifth lunar month. On this day, people eat pyramid-shaped dumplings made of glutinous rice.

中秋节, 农历 八月 十五, 这天 晚上 人们 一边 看月亮 一边 吃 月饼。

Zhōngqiūjié, nónglì bāyuè shíwǔ, zhètiān wǎnshang rénmen yìbiān kàn yuèliang yìbiān chī yuèbing.

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. People eat moon cakes while watching the moon in the evening.

珍妮: 有 哪些 全国性 的 节日 呢?

Zhēnní: Yǒu nǎxiē quánguóxìng de jiérì ne?

Jenny: What are the national holidays?

马克: 一月 一日, 元旦; 五月 一日 劳动节, 还有 十月一日国庆节。

Mǎkè: Yīyuè yīrì, Yuándàn; Wǔyuè yīrì Láodòngjié, háiyǒu shíyuè yīrì Guóqìngjié.

Mark: New Year's Day on January 1, Labor Day on May 1 and the National Day on October 1.

珍妮: 除了 这些 以外,还有 哪些 节日?

Zhēnní: Chúle zhèxiē yǐwài, háiyǒu nǎxiē jiérì?

Jenny: Are there any other festivals in China apart from these ones?

马克: 有 妇女节、 青年节、 儿童节、 教师节。

Mǎkè: Yǒu Fùnǚjié, Qīngniánjié, Értóngjié, Jiàoshījié.

Mark: They have Women's Day, Youth Day, Children's Day and Teachers' Day.

珍妮: 哪个 节日 最 重要?

Zhēnní: Nǎgè jiérì zuì zhòngyào?

Jenny: Which is the most important festival?

马克: 国庆节。

 

Mǎkè: Guóqìngjié.

Mark: National Day.

珍妮: 哪个 节日 最 热闹?

Zhēnní: Nǎgè jiérì zuì rènao?

Jenny: Which is the most joyful one?

马克: 是 春节。

Mǎkè: Shì Chūnjié.

Mark: That would be Spring Festival.
