Cultural Relics Classification Applies to Private Collections

   

    The Interim Provisions on the Identification and Classification of Cultural Relics goes into effect October 1. It stipulates that not only the cultural relics collected by institutions specifically devoted to preservation, but also those in private collections should be classified and graded. The provisions commission administrations of cultural relics above the county level shall entrust or set up special departments responsible for identifying, classifying and establishing files for cultural relics in private collection, and these include both movable and immovable cultural relics.
