Chinese and Russian Crude Oil Pipeline Starts Construction
Construction has started on a new oil pipeline being jointly built by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Rosneft and Transneft. It is set to commence operating by the end of 2010. The pipeline will link Russia's Far East Skovorodino to China's oilfield city Daqing, via the border city Mohe. The pipeline will transport 15 million tons of crude oil annually from Russia to China from 2011 to 2030. Thus far, the CNPC has built five oil gas corporation areas in Central Asia, Africa, South America, the Asia and Pacific Region, and the Middle East. |
