Robot Store in Beijing

A robot store dubbed “the only one of its kind in China” has opened in Beijing’s Zhongguancun area. Nearly 100 robot products are available to customers, priced from RMB 380 to 58,000. The robots sort into four types according to their function. A cleaning robot can sweep the floor at a fixed time each day, automatically evade barriers and recharge itself. More entertaining models include a mechanical pet and a dancing robot. Education robots are generally used in the teaching of computer programming in colleges and universities. A high-end domestic robot is designed to look after the house, and measure the blood pressure and pulse rate of elders via a wireless terminal unit.

Beijing's first robot store has opened for business.
