China's "Google Earth"

Google's popular software Google Earth shows satellite and aerial photos on a three dimensional earth. Users can search specific areas and zoom in or out. But in areas far from North America or Europe, the picture definition is often poor. China has developed its own virtual globe, known as Geo Globe. The new software can process multi-source data simultaneously, including aerial pictures, three-dimension topographic maps and patterns, as well as vector data like geographic borders, railways, expressways and shipping routes.
