Multifunctional Road Detector

A multifunctional road detector which avoids the mistakes of manual testing and provides scientific reference points for road maintenance and management has been produced by the Harbin Institute of Technology. The Institute owns full intellectual property rights on the device.

The detector utilizes many advanced technologies, such as information collection synchro control, laser ranging and integrated positioning. It can accomplish testing at speeds of up to 100 km per hour working either day or night. The track and road damage detecting instruments transfer data to dual-CPU workstations inside the vehicle. After automatic processing a road testing report is produced for decision making analysis and maintenance solutions.
