5th China-Arab Cooperation Forum to Lay New Cornerstone for Ties

Senior officials of China and the Arab League (AL) member states said here Wednesday that they hope the upcoming ministerial conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum will lay a new cornerstone for further developing their relations.

The Fifth Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, slated for Thursday in Tunisia's eastern seaside city of Hammamet, "should lay a new cornerstone for the China-Arab relations and would be an important step towards promoting the relations to the expectations of all parties," Abdullah El Triki, Tunisian secretary of state in charge of Arab and African Affairs and chairman of the Arab delegation to the forum, said when opening a senior officials' meeting held Wednesday in preparation for the ministerial conference.
