Chinese, Kazak FMs Meet for Advancing Ties

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Kazakhstan counterpart Yerzhan Kazykhanov met here Friday morning as the two sides voiced readiness to advance bilateral ties to a new level.

The Chinese and Kazakhstan foreign ministers met at the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Beijing.

Yang said China-Kazakhstan relations have developed in great leaps since the two countries established diplomatic relations 20 years ago. He said the two sides had developed a cooperative strategy for the 21st century, formed a comprehensive strategic partnership and carried out a series of large-scale projects in various areas.
