Senior CPC Official Meets Iranian Vice President

He Guoqiang, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with visiting Iranian Vice President Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh on Wednesday.

He said China attaches great importance to its ties with Iran, adding that the country is committed to boosting bilateral relations on the basis of mutual trust and common prosperity.

Applauding the robust growth of bilateral relations since diplomatic relations were forged over 40 years ago, He said China and Iran have maintained sound coordination on international and regional issues, as well as conducted exchanges in a variety of fields.
