Oman Praises Proposals by China and Russia on Settlement of the Syrian Crisis

The Al-Watan newspaper in Oman has praised proposals brought forward by China and Russia on the settlement of the Syrian crisis.

In a recent commentary, the newspaper said that the proposals formulated by China and Russia are aimed at freeing the Syrian issue from its bottleneck and preventing additional deaths and property damage.

After the two countries adopted the positive position, those standing with the Syrian opposition and opposing their exercise of the veto power have no more excuses, the commentary said.

To avert a humanitarian crisis and a possible foreign military intervention, prevent the crisis from getting more complicated, China and Russia put forward the ideal proposition for a political settlement through dialogue, it said.
