Lufthansa Will Launch Direct Route between Frankfurt and Shenyang

Lufthansa, Germany's flagship carrier and largest airline, will launch a direct route between Frankfurt and Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning province, on March 27.

The route's three flights every week will be serviced by Airbus A340 aircraft with 266 seats, Su Junheng, sales and airport services manager of Lufthansa China, announced Tuesday.

The flight time is expected to be 10 hours, with a total route length of 8,000 km, said Su.

The flight takes off at 0:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Shenyang's Taoxian Airport, and arrives at Frankfurt at 5:30 a.m. on the same day local time, he said.
