Chinese Special Envoy to Visit Saudi Arabia and Egypt

Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Ming, as a special envoy of the Chinese government, will pay a visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt from March 10 to 14, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesman.

Spokesman Liu Weimin made the announcement Friday during a daily press briefing.

Zhang will exchange views on the Syrian crisis, including China's six-point statement for a political resolution to the crisis, with regional organizations such as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab League (AL), the spokesman said.
