Sudanese Foreign Minister Visits China

Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Karti will visit China from Sunday to Tuesday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Friday at a regular press briefing.

Hong said Yang will exchange in-depth views with Karti on bilateral relations, as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

"China and Sudan have enjoyed a long-standing relationship and fruitful cooperation in all fields, bringing concrete benefits to their respective peoples. It is the common will of the two peoples to strengthen cooperative ties between the two countries," Hong said.
