Russian Expert Vladimir Yakunin: China's Rising Influence on G20
By staff reporter ZHOU LIN
Vladimir Yakunin, founder of DOC Research Institute and former president of Russian Railways shared with China Today his views on the historic significance of China's G20 Summit.
He said he had just participated in Think-20, an “ideas bank”for G20. What impressed him most was the broad spectrum of topics that China had involved in the agenda, including collaboration and dialogues on culture and business among nations. He further pointed out that it is dialogue, neither pressure from other Western countries nor the U.S., that will lead the world towards a more balanced pattern of global development.
From his point of view, such important issues as economic development, collaboration, and equality of civilizations should be brought into the agenda of G20, and he can feel China's rising influence on these aspects.
