By Wu Jing

China International Publishing Group (CIPG), a multi-lingual publishing platform dedicated to presenting China to the world, has embarked on cooperation with the Philippines Presidential Communications Operations Office for exchanges of news, publications and other cultural products and events, after a memorandum was signed between the two parties on May 15 in Beijing.

As one of the significant events among the achievements of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that closed on the same day, the signing ceremony, held in the Great Hall of the People, was witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Philippines counterpart Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

According to the memorandum, it is envisaged that in following years, there will be an increasing exchange of news stories, publications and translations relevant to the political, economic, social and cultural sectors in the media industry, including newspapers, magazines and news websites, with a guarantee of accuracy and precision.

Signing the memorandum were Zhang Fuhai, president of CIPG, and Martin Andanar, secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office, leading a delegation to visit China at the invitation of the State Council Information Office.
