虽然…但是… expresses "although"

For example:

虽然很辛苦,但是我可以了解到更多文化｡｡

Suīrán hěn xīnkǔ, dànshì wǒ kěyǐ liǎojiě dào gèngduō wénhuà.

Although it's hard, I can learn more about the culture this way.
