The perfective-aspect particle “ 过”

The perfective-aspect particle “过 ” is put after a verb to denote that an action has occurred. This particle is usually used to highlight that experience.

Examples:

珍妮 吃过 糖醋 排骨。

Zhēnní chīguo Tángcù Páigǔ.

Jenny has had spareribs in sweet-sour sauce.

马克 没 吃过 水煮鱼。

Mǎkè méi chīguo Shuǐzhǔyú.

Mark has never had fish filets in hot chili oil.
