王明: 可能, 现在 正是 上班 时间, 人 最 多。

Wáng Míng: Kěnéng, xiànzài zhèngshì shàngbān shíjiān, rén zuì duō.

Wang Ming: Maybe. It’s the morning rush hour, when public transport is most crowded.

马克: 看样子,除 了 上班 的 人 以外, 好像 有 很多 外地人。

Mǎkè: Kànyàngzi, chú le shàngbān de rén yǐwài, hǎoxiàng yǒu hěnduō wàidìrén.

Mark: It seems that there are many non-locals apart from the regular commuters.

王明: 听说 北京 每天 的 流动 人口 有 一百万, 国外 游客 也 越来越多。

Wáng Míng: Tīngshuō Běijīng měitiān de liúdòng rénkǒu yǒu yìbǎiwàn, guówài yóukè yě yuèláiyuèduō.

Wang Ming: It is said that the floating population in Beijing is one million every day. Besides, more and more overseas tourists are coming to visit Beijing.

马克: 每天 我 最 头疼 的 就是 早晨 上班 挤车。

Mǎkè: Měitiān wǒ zuì tóuténg de jiùshì zǎochen shàngbān jǐchē.

Mark: Standing in a narrow bus like a sardine in a tin is a headache for me every morning.

王明: 正在 修建 的 地铁 都 修好 后, 将 有 很大 改善。

Wáng Míng: Zhèngzài xiūjiàn de dìtiě dōu xiūhǎo hòu, jiāng yǒu hěndà gǎishàn.

Wang Ming: This situation will be improved greatly when the subways under construction are finished.

II. Renting a Car

马克: 王明, 你 知道 哪里 可以 租 到 汽车 吗?

Mǎkè: Wáng Míng, nǐ zhīdào nǎlǐ kěyǐ zū dào qìchē ma?

Mark: Wang Ming, do you know where I can rent a car?

王明: 北京 有 很多 汽车 租赁 公司 啊,很 方便 的。

Wáng Míng: Běijīng yǒu hěnduō qìchē zūlìn gōngsī a, hěn fāngbiàn de.

Wang Ming: It’s convenient since there are a number of car rental agencies in Beijing.

马克:我 想 租 一辆 小轿车, 租 两天。

Mǎkè: Wǒ xiǎng zū yíliàng xiǎojiàochē, zū liǎngtiān.

Mark: I would like to rent a car for two days.

王明: 你 要 租 什么 车?
