China to Renovate Industrial Zones by 2022
China will strive to finish relocating or renovating old industrial zones in urban areas by 2022, China's cabinet said on Tuesday.
Local governments should streamline administrative approval to bring the market into full play during the drive, according to the central government website of www.gov.cn.
The cabinet statement called for appropriate relocation or renovation programs with innovative financing and expansive participation to benefit local communities.
Enterprises should update their technology and management during the campaign and find new sources of growth momentum in emerging sectors.
Infrastructure development should be in line with environmental protection and the renovation of shanty towns and villages.
