Gangdoi, a CPPCC member of Lhopa ethnic minority from Tibet, commented that the government report delivered by Premier Wen Jiabao was very realistic and related closely to people's well being. He said that he was greatly inspired by the report.

According to Gangdoi, in recent years life in Tibet has been improved significantly thanks to support from the central government and other provinces and regions. "Remarkable changes have happened to the lives of our 2,800 Lhopa people. We are enjoying a happy life," he said.

Gangdoi emphasized in particular that local education has been greatly improved. "The government is making huge investments in the education of Lhopa people, and the enrollment rate of our children has reached 98.8 percent. At the same time, the employment rate of Lhopa college students in the area has been high. Parents are very satisfied with this positive situation," he said. He also brought up the Comfortable Housing Project. "We're very grateful to the central authorities' efforts in the construction of our hometown," he said. "The houses of our Lhopa people are very beautiful."

During this year's session of the CPPCC, Gangdoi brought up two topics: "Soaring costs of medical care are the biggest concern of most people. And high commodity prices have also drawn strong complaints."
