ODI Surged during 11th Five-year Plan Period
China's outbound overseas direct investment (ODI) to non-financial sectors totaled $216.6 billion in the 11th Five-year Plan period (2006-2010), exceeding the government's projection 3.6 times. The annual growth rate was 38.8 percent during the period, taking China to fifth place in global ranking from the 18th spot at the end of the 2001-2005 span.
