Visitors Hit 400,000 on 37th Day

As many as 417,300 visitors toured the Expo site Sunday, exceeding 400,000 for the fourth consecutive day.

Smooth operation was recorded with more than 49,000 tickets sold on site.

The Libya Pavilion remained closed due to interior decoration and the Portugal Pavilion didn't open as Pavilion Day events were staged.

Among the visitors, about 144,500 were on group tours, accounting for about 35 percent of Sunday's visitor flow.

Houtan gate received as many as 73,000 visitors, Changqing Road 64,000, and Shangnan Road, Gaoke Road W. 115,000 in total.

By 5pm, 82 performances had been staged, attracting nearly 89,000 visitors. Altogether 7,951 volunteers served on the site.
