Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Opens

      The Fourth Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened at 3 p.m. on March 3, 2011, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a report on the work undertaken during the past year by the CPPCC National Committee's Standing Committee. Wang Zhizhen, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, reported on how the CPPCC members' suggestions and proposals had been handled since the 2010 session.
