Message of the 19th CPC Conference

By John Ross

Xi Jinping's speech opening the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) demonstrated in detail that the CPC has kept its historical promise to the Chinese people and outlined how it will continue to do so.

In 1949 Mao Zedong uttered the famous words 'China has stood up'. As Xi Jinping said in his speech 'The Chinese nation now stands tall and firm in the east' - that is the CPC fully kept that promise it made in 1949.

China has become the world's second largest economy.

No one dares attack China militarily.

China has been transformed from one of the poorest countries in the world, in 1949 only 10 countries had a lower per capita GDP than China, to an 'upper middle income' economy by international classification and by 2021/2022 it will be a 'high income' economy by World Bank classification.

More than 800 million people in China have been lifted out of internationally defined poverty - China has lifted three times as many people out of poverty as the rest of the world combined..

China is now respected as one of the greatest states state in all parts of the world and every Chinese citizen derives respect from this.

These are gigantic, extraordinary, historical achievements immeasurably improving the lives of China's people and are an immense contribution to all of humanity..

Indeed, in the word's of Mao Zedong 'China has stood up' and the whole world knows and recognises it. The huge reports of Xi Jinping's speech outside China show it.

Now the CPC aims to basically achieve socialist modernisation by 2035. This speech therefore outlined how the CPC not only kept its promise to the Chinese people but will continue to keep its promises to the Chinese people and to the world.

This reality is why the speech had such impact.
