300 grams all-purpose flour

3 grams baking powder

3 grams baking soda

90 grams sugar

150 grams vegetable oil

1 egg

110 grams finely chopped walnut kernel

Method

Mix the egg and the vegetable oil together, then add sugar and stir thoroughly.

Add in the flour, baking powder and baking soda; knead the mixture to form a smooth ball of dough.

Shape 1.5 cm rounds of dough, and place them 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet; press down lightly to flatten; place the finely chopped walnut kernels on each cookie and brush the tops with the egg mixture.

Preheat oven to 200oC and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown, let cool, and serve.
