UBTECH unveils Walker S2, the world’s first humanoid robot capable of autonomous battery swapping at the World Robot Conference 2025 in Beijing on August 9, 2025. Over 1,500 exhibits from more than 200 leading domestic and international robot companies were showcased at the conference.

The fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China placed “building a modernized industrial system and reinforcing the foundation of the real economy” at the top of the country’s strategic tasks for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. According to the Recommendations for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan adopted at the plenum, the share of manufacturing in the national economy should be kept at an optimum level, and a modernized industrial system should be developed with advanced manufacturing as the backbone. 

From breakthroughs in research laboratories to the hum of advanced machinery in smart factories, and from the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries to the pioneering development of future-oriented sectors, an industrial transformation with advanced manufacturing as its backbone is gaining momentum across the nation.
