Anti-aging Genes Found

China's Chongqing Southwestern Hospital recently announced its discovery of six genes that can be used to combat diseases related to advancing age, such as cancer, coronary heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes. One of these genes can curb or even kill cancer cells, while another one slows down the aging process of useful cells. This research was endorsed and financed by the China National Fund for Natural Science High-tech Exploration Project. The hospital is to undertake further research into the functions of each gene.
