Oaths
Made by Members of the Chinese Communist Party in Various Periods
The Red Army period: Maintain strict secrecy,
observe discipline, sacrifice myself, conduct class struggle,
be devoted to revolution, and never betray the Party.
The period of the War of Resistance Against
Japanese Aggression: I volunteer to join the Communist Party
of China. I will resolutely carry out the Party's discipline,
be afraid of no difficulty and sacrifice, and dedicate my life
to the struggle for communism.
The period of the Liberation War: I volunteer
to join the Communist Party of China, and make the following
oaths: First, dedicate my life to the struggle for communism.
Second, the Party's interests are above everything else. Third,
Observe the Party's discipline. Fourth, be afraid of no difficulty
and always work for the Party. Fifth, setting examples for the
masses. Sixth, maintain Party's secrets. Seventh, be confident
about the Party. Eighth, keep on fighting in spite of all setbacks,
and never betray the Party.
The early years of the People's Republic of
China: I volunteer to join the Communist Party of China, recognize
the Party's Program and Constitution, carry out the Party's
resolution, observe the Party's discipline, maintain the Party's
secrets, prepare to sacrifice all myself at any time, and dedicate
my life to the complete liberation of the entire mankind.
After the 12th National Congress of the Communist
Party of China: I volunteer to join the Communist Party of China,
abide by the Party's Constitution, perform the member's duties,
carry out the Party's resolutions, observe the Party's discipline,
maintain the Party's secrets, be loyal to the Party, work actively,
dedicate my life to the struggle for communism, prepare to sacrifice
everything for the Party and the people, and never betray the
Party.
