Chinese among Top Fast Food Consumers

According to the latest AC Nielsen Consumer Confidence and Opinion Survey, a whopping 97 percent of Chinese diners eat at fast food restaurants, which puts the country in the top five of the 28 main markets.

In China, 30 percent of those surveyed eat at fast food restaurants 2 to 3 times a month. Three percent said they eat fast food more than once a day, and 6 percent that they eat it at least once a day. A further 21 percent of respondents eat fast food once or twice a week and 11 percent 3 to 6 times a week.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), McDonald’s and Pizza Hut are the three most popular fast food eateries in China.
