University Etiquette Courses

In recent years many Chinese universities have introduced diplomatic and foreign affairs etiquette courses. China Foreign Affairs University, cradle of Chinese diplomats, launched its Beijing Universities Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Etiquette Contest two years ago. The third contest held in October 2004 was based on the 2008 Beijing Olympics “humanistic” theme, with the aim of promoting the Olympic spirit among university students. The panel of judges comprised veteran Chinese and foreign diplomats. Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing sent his letter of congratulations on the event.
