2004 Nanning International Folk Song Festival

The festival features two evening concerts and a Southeast Asia fashion show. On November 4, 100 singers contend for the 13th National Ethnic Minority Vocal Music Contest Peacock prize. On November 5, a large-scale national song and dance entitled Splendid Zhuang Brocade will be staged. Artists from Moldova will perfom at Guangxi Hall of the People.

2004 Southeast Asia International Gourmet Festival

Throughout this gourmet festival, you can enjoy spectacular folk performances while savoring the cream of Southeast Asian cuisines. You can also enjoy the beat of the Nanning Youth Hiphop Dance contest, and be amazed at mastery of Chinese Kungfu.

2004 Sino-Japanese University Students’ Cartoon Festival

This is the largest cartoon festival of its kind for Chinese and Japanese cartoon aficionados. Well-known Chinese and Japanese cartoonists will attend, as well as delegations from both countries. The contest features an exhibition of classic cartoons from 1998 to 2004, as well as 5,000 original works by both Chinese and Japanese cartoonists. There will also be a colorfully spectacular Cosplay contest

The 18th Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival

This year’s annual gourmet event held in Guangzhou City features the four famous cuisines of China: Beijing, Shandong, Sichuan and Guangdong, as well as the Hunan specialties fish head with chopped chilly pepper, and Hunan braised pork in brown sources Mao style, and Hakka, a branch of Guangdong cuisine’s Crystal chicken Hakka style, and Black rice pudding Hakka style.
