It was in 1992 that Li Ruohong decided to build the Water Garden Villas on 200 hectares of wasteland, a move that signified with enormous business foresight.

At the news conference that announced People of the Year conducted by Fashion & Wealth, a Chinese magazine, Li stated that his fortune stemmed from wise resource planning.

The more you expect to achieve from your career, the more you need friends’ suggestions. He says, “Every entrepreneur needs the social support of his friends. For example, in 1992, we decided to invest in the huge King’s Water Garden Villas project. It took just four hours to sign the contract. Without friendship and trust, such smooth efficiency would have been impossible.

Peace Emissary

War and terrorism make for an uneasy world situation. Li Ruohong knows that ongoing strengthening of the Chinese economy and investment environment depend on a stable social complexion. People everywhere pray for world peace.

He therefore decided to make himself Non-governmental Emissary of Peace. Apart from the CBD Cup and Great Wall Cup Invitational Golf Tournament, he has also organized other activities that promote Chinese-foreign communication on both governmental and business levels. Many noted personages from foreign businesses and political circles have expected their appreciation of these activities.
