International
Students Lap China up
By ZHOU
CHAO
Residents in the vicinity of the Huazhong Normal University
say that they have made friends with many of the overseas students that
have come to Wuhan in the past two decades.
There are four main categories of overseas students
in China: those studying short, intensive Chinese language programs; undergraduate;
postgraduate; and doctorate degrees. Li Xun, vice president of the School
of International Cultural Exchange, Huazhong Normal University, says that
China's international exchanges have increased in line with its rapidly
developing economy, which is why there has been such a large influx of
overseas students in the past two decades. Each September, a new group
of foreign students comes to Wuhan to study. May the reality of living
in China exceed their highest expectations.
