Prisoner TV Station

Beijing's Tianhe Prison currently broadcasts "Voice of Tianhe," a prisoner-run TV station and the first of its kind in China.

Chief anchor is a woman serving 14 years for fraud. "I felt respected on the air," she says. The TV station has 46 part-time correspondents, and jailers are responsible for collecting outside news.
