Corrupt MDs to Be Barred

The Chinese government is making efforts to rectify malpractices in hospitals.

The Chinese government is working to correct malpractice in the medical field. The first targets are surgeons who take bribes. Gao Qiang, vice minister of health, said that any doctor taking bribes or kickbacks would be stripped of their right to practice medicine.

He said patients should be protected from doctors who take take-offs when prescribing pharmaceuticals and physical checks, who accept bribes, charge exorbitant rates and engage in other malpractices.
