Stone Monkey Draws Crowds

The stone monkey in White Cloud Taoist Temple is a visitors' favorite.

During the 2004 Spring Festival, more than 40,000 people visited the White Cloud Taoist Temple in Beijing to touch one of the three stone monkeys decorating the walls. Touching a stone monkey, especially during the Year of the Monkey, is believed to help ward off evil and deliver happiness.
