Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Opens Course for Western
Medics.
The China Academy
of Traditional Chinese Medicine has opened a TCM course for
practitioners of Western medicine. It begins in September this
year. In its capacity as Chinese medical school and research
base, the academy first launched its TCM classes for doctors
of Western medicine in 1995. This two-year course covers a systematic
introduction to TCM theory and clinical practice. Students can
take internships at the Guang'anmen Hospital under the guidance
of veteran TCM doctors and experts in the combined fields of
Western medicine and TCM. Graduates of the course will be awarded
a diploma by the academy. Graduates of any Western medical school
qualify for the class.
