Hamlet of Centenarians

Jintu Village in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province is famous for the longevity of its villagers. The latest statistics reveal that of its 2,006 residents, 7 are more than 100 years old, 95 are above 90, and 150 are above 80. All families in the village are composed of members of three or even four generations.

The local elders live on rice, sweet potato and sea fish all year round. Most of those over 80 have never left their village.
